What is a Looking FC trip and what makes it different?

Looking FC trips are 4 day/3 night adventures to football’s greatest cities. We bring fans like you an authentic cultural football experience, as close to the heart of the game as you can get. Closer to the fans, to the city, and to the heart of the team than ever before. Our winning formila includes exclusive superfan workshops, club-focused masterclasses, football-themed city tours, stadium visits, proper local food and drink, and of course, passion seats for the game on match day for a truly immersive and authentic football experience.

Inspired by Eric Cantona and led by your Trip Captain (a qualified local expert and fan), Looking FC trips are built to take you far beyond the typical hotel + match ticket experience. We enable lovers of the beautiful game to experience football like the locals. The true and authentic superfan experience.

Who are Looking FC trips for?

A Looking FC trip is for any passionate football fan wanting to experience a truly immersive footy-themed adventure to the world’s greatest football cities. Our experiences are for those who want to discover the human stories born out of the clubs’ local communities, to sing with the superfans, to drink where the fans drink, and to deep dive into the authetic spirit of clubs they’ve always adored.

My friends and I want to book a private trip, is that possible?

Yes! Any Looking FC trip can be made private at your request. Whether you’re traveling with friends, family or colleagues, we’ll make sure it’s the trip of a lifetime, every time. Please contact us here for more information.

How many people will be on the trip?

Our maximum group size is 20 people allowing you to bond and connect with your fellow travelling fans. Minimum numbers of 8 apply to all trips.

I have never done a group trip before - what is the group like?

Our groups are made up of passionate football fans from all over the world who share a love for the beautiful game. We know you’ll have a lot in common. Our experienced Trip Captains are also standing by to ensure a fantastic guest experience.

I'm considering giving this trip as a gift. Is there anything you can add to the package to make it extra special?

What excellent taste in gifts you have! We’d be happy to help. Please feel free to get in touch with us and we can work together to add some kick to this special event.

Is Looking FC a travel agent?

No, we are a tour operator. This means we are responsible for the planning, organisation, and delivery of your trip. Looking FC is a fully bonded member of ABTA (membership number Y6752) and all trips are financially protected.

Is it possible to buy just the match day experience?

Looking FC was created because we know that football is so much more than just the match. Our financially-protected packages have been designed based on Eric’s passion for football, fans, and the local community, and are led by one of our specially trained Trip Captains. Our unique and immersive football experiences are sold as complete packages and it is not possible to book individual components of the packages separately.

Who will my trip leader be?

We have assembled local experts and avid fans as Trip Captains in all of our destinations to enhance and deliver your experience. Trip Captains live and breathe their city and club and are there to make your trip one to remember.

Can children/young adults join the trip?

You must be 18 or over to book a Looking FC trip.
The minimum age for minors travelling on Looking FC trips is 15 years old. We will do our best to ensure rooms are allocated close to each other, but cannot make any guarantees.
Anyone under the age of 18 on the date the trip starts is considered a minor and must always be accompanied by an adult. One adult may accompany up to two minors.

How do I find out if I need a visa?

We strongly advise that you review official travel requirements for your country of departure and arrival before confirming any booking, as requirements for travel visas do vary based on your nationality and final destination.

Can I extend my trip?

Absolutely! Please contact us here with details of your request and we’d be pleased to support.

When should I plan to arrive in my destination for the trip?

We advise you to arrive no later than 15:00 on your first day. No one likes travelling to tight deadlines and unfortunately we can’t delay start times or refund missed experiences due to late arrival. If you wish to arrive in the city a few days earlier or stay later to extend your stay, we’d be happy to help with the planning!

Should I tip my captain?

The tipping of Trip Captains is recommended and should reflect the quality of service you have received throughout your trip. We find that tips in the range of 2-3% of your trip price are fairly common.

Are flights included?

Because our guests are arriving from all over the globe, we do not include flights as a part of our package. To book flights we recommend contacting airlines directly or your local IATA registered travel agent.

Where does the trip meet?

Your Trip Captain will meet you at the hotel on Day 1. Prior to the start of your trip, you will receive detailed departure and hotel information via email, including when and where to meet your Trip Captain.

Can I book my travel to the destination city through Looking FC?

At this time we are not offering travel to the destination city. To book flights we recommend contacting airlines directly or your local IATA registered travel agent. Depending on where you’re travelling to, you may also want to consider travelling by train for a lower carbon footprint and better views.

Is travel insurance included?

We do not include travel insurance as everyone’s needs are different. However, having travel insurance in place for each person is a condition of your booking with Looking FC. We’ve partnered with Globelink to offer travel insurance to our UK and European guests. Globelink includes COVID-19 cover as standard. We also have links for insurance providers US and international residents. If you buy your travel insurance from elsewhere, please ensure COVID-19 cover is included. If you haven’t purchased cover yet, you can do so here:

Is the itinerary subject to change?

Travel planning is a dynamic art. Things change.
Restaurants open. Roads close. We make every effort to minmise any changes, but amendments to the trip itinerary, such as timings, locations of meals, activites, switching days around to accommodate changing kick off times/dates, or for any operational reason for the benefit of the overall experience, can sometimes occur.

If I choose the shared room option, who will I be sharing with?

If you are joining as a solo traveller and choose the shared twin room you’ll be placed with a fellow fan! We’ll always pair you with someone of the same gender. Twin beds are separate.

If you are booking with a friend, you can select two spots in the shared twin room (or if you are booking separately you should each select one spot in a shared twin room and drop us a note that are you travelling together).

Is the match date confirmed?

Our advertised match dates and times are correct at time of publishing. Occasionally, due to uncontrollable external factors such as TV scheduling, fixture dates and times can change. If a significant change happens after your trip is booked, one of our team will contact you as soon as possible to discuss your options.

Do you offer accessible seats for games?

Each stadium is different and special seating is subject to availability. Please contact us if you have a specific seating request as it’s best that we talk this through with you on an individual basis.

Are the match tickets guaranteed?

Yes, tickets have been secured in advance from our ticketing partners so we can guarantee the most desirable, atmospheric location of your match-day seats.

Will I need proof of a COVID-19 vaccination to get into the stadium?

Each club has their own rules, usually in line with their government’s Covid-19 protocols. We will advise you of the latest protocols in the Kick Off email we send 4 weeks before your trip. It is important to note however that clubs reserve the right to change their policies at any time. Looking FC cannot be held responsible if a club decides to change the level of Covid-19 protection they require. We recommend you get vaccinated, keep your boosters up to date, and download the relevant Covid-19 travel pass/app.

Is it possible to book a trip over the phone?

Absolutely. Please contact us to arrange a convenient time for a call, so we can answer any questions you may have and get you booked on the trip of a lifetime!

Bookings

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Our cancellation and refund policy is date dependent and can be found in your booking conditions. We understand that sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances you may need to cancel your trip and we intend to make the process as seamless as possible. The trip deposit is non-refundable but fully transferable onto another Looking FC trip.

I want to change the name of one or more or the fan travelling. Is this possible?

Please contact us as soon as possible to check the possibility of a name change and we will advise you based on your specific requirements. Name changes are not permitted less than 31 days before the match date.

Is my deposit guaranteed?

Your deposit secures your place on the trip. Should you choose to cancel, your deposit is transferrable to any future Looking FC trip. Deposits are not refundable unless otherwise stated as per Booking Conditions.
